Trying to do it all will be a headache I really don’t think they have considered. Operators will not stand for misdirected well bores and missed landing points. In the current market and business model (ie 3rd parties) if the operator has a problem with one service provider they will simply change providers. With the Nabors plan an operator could choose to simply replace the entire Contractor ( Nabors ) with a new rig and 3rd party personnel. Schlumberger is planning the same thing. My Grandpappy told me once “pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered” Trying to hog up all the work could end up being a death sentence. I am just saying. Nabors has the very best rigs I have been on in recent past so I am not saying they are moving in the wrong direction. I am saying that the trying to do it all is greed oriented.
